The Bee Creek Water Resource Reclamation Plant was built in 1984 and was expanded in 1994 from 3.5 MGD to 5.25 MGD. In the summer of 2015, the City of Murray broke ground on a new expansion and upgrade of the Bee Creek facility. Construction will be a four year process and will address the city's growing wastewater needs now and for the future. The plant is located off of North 4th St. on CC. Lowry Drive. The updated plant will be at the same location though there will be many upgrades and expansions which will result in an enlarged footprint.

These are the steps in turning raw sewage into safe, clean effluent:
- Influent Pumping - 3 Screw Pumps, 12000 GPM
- Screening
- Grit Removal
- Flow Measurement
- Oxidation Ditches - 3 - 1.75 Million Gallon Ditches
- Clarification
- Sludge Removal
- Disinfection
- Chlorine Removal
- Sludge Disposal - Filter pressed and sent to the landfill
- Clean Effluent Released
